Attending were Mike and Jane, April and John, Emily, Dale,Jackie.
It was annuonced that yearly dues are now due. Emily announced the yearly calendar for PCCC are ready. She has ordered 10 at $2 a piece.
Make a Wish car Show will be Feb 28 and March 1st. She will get the door assignment sheet for each to choose a time to help man the doors and tickets.
Emily handed out a paper of last years activities. We discusse which events to do this year. It was agreed to do the Shamrock parade again in March. We will also do the MS walk again this year.
Emily will be making new cards to put on perspectve pt cars.
We then had elections. Jane elected to step down as vice president. April was voted in as new vice presidet. All other officers stayed in their offices.
We then discussed the Cruisin the Cross Roads car show. We have 11 paid reservations so far. Emily announced that the Colorado club will be bringing a large number to the show.
We set a meeting for the car show plans on Jan 24th at the Chrysler house.
The meeting was closed and we went to Denny’s for a meal.

December meeting 2008

Our meeting consisted of doing the christmas electric light parade. Attendng were April John, Dale, Kayla, Emily, Jackie, Phil and Debbi. All the cars looked great. After we met at Barnaby’s Beanery to eat. The next week, we had our club Christmas party at Patsy & David Tallants house. Attending were April & John, Dale, Les & Joanne, Jackie, Cathy, Mike and Jane, Patsy and David, Shelby and friend, and Emily.
We played the White elephant game and exchanged gifts. Each brought a covered dish. The meals was great.

November 8, 208 meeting

Our november meeting was short Atending were Jackie, April & John, and Dale.
John Mc sweeny from the PCCC visited our meeting. he expresed thanks to April and Emily for all their hard work on the wesites and al they do for the PCCC, We were glad to have him at the meeting.
Becaus of so many members absent,we opted o not go over any o the car show plans till more members could be present
John McS. went or some othe duts for the volunteers for the MakeA Wish car show. he also suggested we hand out flyers for our show month in advance at the sat. cruise night. We wee glad he attended the meeting and made a standing offer for him to return any time.

The meeeting was opened by discussing upcoming events. A list of those events are posted on the club website.
Saturday the 26th we will meet at the Westgate parking lot near Chucky Cheese to cruise to Bushland to the Original Pie Place at 3pm.
Emily reported she would have more cards to hand out to potential members before next meeting.
We discussed and voted on a Motto for the club. Our official motto now is – “Cruizin’ the big horizon, wind at our back, friends at our side.”
Jane reported on the jackets. Everyone present reported to her the things they wanted on the front of their jackets. They have now gone to the embroidery shop.
We are pleased to have two new members to the Caprock PT Cruisers. Their name is David and Patsy Tallant. Patsy owns and runs Suds & Scissors pet grooming. (I hope I got that name right. If not let me know Patsy).
We discussed ordering new club tshirts. Yellow or gold were the joices agreed on.
After the meeting, we cruised to Rosa’s Cafe on 45th and then Sonic next door for dessert.

July 4th Parade & Car show, Canyon, Tx 2008

July 4th we met at Region 16 at 8am to cruise to Canyon. We were lined up by twos. The parade was huge this year. After the parade all the cars met at the Events Center for the Rural Rodders’ car show. It was hot but fun. Unfortunately no one in the club won anything. Afterwards, we cruised back to Amarillo and had dinner at Joe Taco. Attending were- April & John in the Phantom Cruiser; Emily in the Batcruiser, Jackie in Cruiserbear; Dale in Maxenne’s Blue cruiser, Kayla in her purple cruiser; Phil & Debbie in Brutis Cruiser; and Mike & Jane in the Blue Man Cruiser.

Club stats for the paper were discussed being updated by Dale and Emily recently.
The 4th of July parade and car show in Canyon was then discussed. We will meet at Region 16 between 8am & 8:15am. We will leave promptly at 8:30 am to go to Canyon. We will line up at 9am for the parade and decorate. It will be a full day, with the car show following the parade and lunch. We will plan to go eat lunch somewhere like Feldman’s for lunch. Those planning to attend so far are: Emily, Jackie, April, John, Kayla,Mike, Jane. The charge is now $15.00 to enter the parade and car show. We hope more of the club will join us.
A club motto was discussed at length again. It was voted to table it and do more research on some good ideas.
The Comanche Trail car show will be this next weekend the 21st. John has planned to enter this show.
Cruise Night at Region 16 for July will be hosted by our club. We will do Christmas in July as our theme. All members are asked to bring $10.00 worth of door prizes to be given away. We will have a gift wrapping party at Amarillo Chrysler Jeep to wrap the door prizes. The time 5:30pm on June 28th. Bring tape, bows, ribbon, paper, etc… At the cruise we will do 50/50 cash drawing. Everyone needs to bring a batch of cookies to hand out. We will also have a tent or two with a tree, and possibly a summer Santa! We will meet at 4pm on the 5th to set up for the cruise night.
Prices for the embroidering for our PT jackets have been quoted as follows:
$15 for the back with Caprock PT Cruisers and Amarillo, Texas
$10 for the front with PT picture and your name above it. Total $25 for all embroidery/jacket
We discussed ordering from Oriental Trading stuff for July 4th such as candy, pencils, banners etc..
Jackie has found a place on 6th street where you can order Texas car flags. It is 6 Brothers Antiques . They have a website that we can order as many as we want if anyone is interested. Jackie has the website.
End of the month cruise for July will be Texas 66 Grill in Buschland. We are planning a late lunch around 2pm and will meet at Region 16.
We closed the meeting , and everyone left to get their own food before going to the drive in. It made for a late night, but we enjoyed the good company and double feature. We missed those that did not attend.

March 8th Meeting
Our meeting opened with prayer led by Kayla and the pledge led by Emily’

New officers were introduced. Emily stated her goals for the club for 2008. !. to get more exposure for the club. 2. More Cruises.
Jackie asked if the club would like the prayerchain started again. It was voted on and agreed to start the chain again.
John reported on the club bank account. A balance of $401.65 reported with several members paying dues this meeting, bringing the balance to $476.65. Those paying dues this meeting were, Petersons, Holmans, and Cathy paying $25 dues and $25 advertising on the website.
It was suggested we begin the 50/50’s again with everyone bringing door prizes to help build the bank account.
Cruising ideas for April and upcoming months. Caprock Canyon State Park, Bob Wills day in Turkey, & Rt66 Cafe in Adrian were mentioned. Members voted to go to Adrian to the Rt66 Cafe on April 26th around 2pm.
On May 9 & 10th there will be a Cajun Festival & Car show in Witchita Falls, Tx. We are making plans to go to this event. April volunteered to call the Petersons to discuss coming. We will check on hotel rooms and let everyone know cost soon.
It was suggested we put club happenings back on amarillo.com and in the Globe news calendar & Community Events. Jackie will check on this.
A get together with the Cowtown Cruisers is being planned for June. Tennative dates will be June 20th & 21st. We will plan a casual meal & small cruise to possibly Cadilac Ranch for the 20th & the 21st a cruise to Palo Dro Canyon and the Texas play’
The Mother Road Show and Cruise in Las Lunas N.M. will be October 23-26. There will be a cruise to 3 Indian Pueblos. More information on this cruise later.
Having a club Motto was discussed. We ask that everyone be thinking of a colorful motto that depicts our club , and bring your ideas to the next meeting.
** Our next cruise for March will be to Shamrock, Texas for the St. Pattie’s Day Parade. We will meet at 7 AM at the Visitor Center/Information Center on Airport Road on East I-40. Bring decorrations of green, and also red ,white, and blue . Bring candy to throw.
The meeting was closed and we cruised to Barnaby’s Beanery for a great meal and celebrate Cathy’s birthday.
